TUMAMOC HILL -
MAPDriving time from La Casita Serena: 25 min.This is a paved, urban hill climb. It's a social event and a great workout, with rewarding city views at the top.
TANQUE VERDE FALLS -
MAPDriving time from La Casita Serena: 40 min.This is a gorgeous place to spend an afternoon swimming in the creek or one of the many swimming holes when water is flowing.
DAY TRIP TO BISBEE - MAP
Total miles round-trip from La Casita Serena: 200 miles.
This loop takes you south and east through a beautiful valley with sweeping views to the vibrant and historic town of Bisbee. The trip home takes you through Tombstone and Benson.

SONORAN DESERT MUSEUM OUTING - MAP
Total miles round-trip from La Casita Serena: 38 miles.
This drive takes you west into the Tucson Mountains, up and over Gates Pass, to the remarkably diverse Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. The way home wraps around the base of "A" Mountain and heads you over to Seis for some excellent tacos! Seis is in a small mercado surrounded by unique shops selling upscale local goods. Across the small side street is a new container village called the Annex with more local shopping and a great outdoor bar. The last leg of the map will bring you back to your door!
CATALINA STATE PARK - MAPDriving time from La Casita Serena: 30 min.This will take you around the western foothills of the Catalinas to the northern side, where there are wonderful trails for all levels of experience. There is a fee to enter the park. Get a map from the ranger station when you check in and they will direct you towards a hike that suits the amount of time / energy you have!
